My 3 day organic juice fast

I am doing my first juice feast; I will be drinking water and nutritious juices for 3 days. So far I felt most hungry at 10pm, so I just had more juice and that kept me going! 🙂 With it being my first time I am excited to see how I will feel after the third day!

I started my morning with celery, apple, mint and ginger. I then had carrot, mint, ginger and orange. Later I made cucumber, celery, apple and mint with coconut water, ensuring I get the recommended 1500 calories per day for women, which is 4 liters of juice daily. Enough calories ensure you to go about your day without feeling low in energy whilst massive cleansing takes place at the cellular level.

There are many fantastic benefits of doing a juice cleanse…you get a huge amount of alkalizing vitamins, nutrients and minerals that go straight into your bloodstream faster and more profoundly than at any other time. It gives your body a rest from all of the usual digestion it normally has to do every day, so your body gets the chance to release old stored toxins from the Liver, Kidney and small intestine and subsequently restore full body rejuvenation and balance. I absolutely love my food so this is a real challenge for me; yet I love setting myself new positive challenges! My next challenge will be longer… I will say that if I can do this anyone can do it! 😉

14th-16th January My juice list:

First day ~

I had green juice of celery, ginger, mint, lemon and apple

Then I made carrot, ginger, mint  and oranges

I made up batches of each throughout the day

Later I had celery with apples and ginger

Day 2 ~

I juiced watermelon on its own and then juiced some later with cucumber and mint

I then made a juice of lettuce, cucumber, zucchini/courgette, lemon, apples, ginger and celery

Day three ~

I started my day with water and freshly squeezed lemon

Apple, mint, water with a little squeeze of lemon (one of my favourites, although I have enjoyed them all so far)

Kale, celery, mint, apples and freshly squeezed lemon

I also think tomatoes and basil with parley and chilli would be lovely too if you are feeling hungry or feel like having a soup style juice

You could add fresh parsley, other herbs and cinnamon etc. too as all work well in juices for deep inner cleansing.
